"Blue Jays and Blooms" Reduction limited edition linocut

$150.00

“Blue jays and Blooms”

Size: 9×12” including white paper margin.

Image size is approximately 6×9”

Inspired by the beautiful blue colors found in blue jays as they swirl around in the forest with light pink cherry blossoms in the background. I was inspired by blue jays’ active nature and impressive feathers in their wings while seeing them flying around in one of my local parks.

this is an original limited-edition series of 11 prints. Made using the reduction printmaking method and printed with a total of 6 colors using rich oil-based printing inks and printed on high quality Rag paper made from recycled cotton. Reduction printmaking involves carving away the block in layers, so at the very end the block is almost completely carved away, meaning the same print can’t be recreated again.

Prints come packaged in a clear cellophane sleeve and archival backing made from recycled materials. Prints are individually signed and numbered; due to the handmade process of linocut printmaking there may be slight variations in print tones between prints. This adds to the uniqueness and charm of owning a one-of-a-kind original print.
